Why Kinetics 360 exists
Somewhere between a dance studio and a gym, Kinetics 360 brings movement under one roof for adults who want to keep fit, get moving again, or stay active even when movement is limited.

Meet Adam
Adam is in his late thirties, heading into his forties, and becoming acutely aware of how much health and wellbeing matter as the years stack up. He has been dancing for more than twenty years. For the last ten of those he has been sharing dance classes with ages 30-85, people who still wanted to move, laugh, and leave class feeling better than they arrived.
That mix of years on the dance floor, sharing and hearing experiences of ailments, afflictions and illness with older adults, and my own brushes with illness and injury, made something obvious. A lot of adults don’t quite fit a traditional dance studio, and they don’t quite want a gym either. They want to keep fit. They need to get moving again after injury or surgery. Or they’re older, still keen to stay active, but with limited movement. As Arnold would say, “old, but not obsolete”.
Kinetics 360 is the studio I aim to be accessible for everyone: movement in all its forms under one roof in Palmerston North. Cardio, strength, balance, coordination, flexibility, mobility and body control. Not a rehabilitation clinic, and not a nightclub with a barre. Fitness and enjoyment, taken in the style each class is intended, with room to work at your own level.
Illness and injury (mentally and physically) have affected me or close friends and family. That’s why we’ve chosen to support a number of community organisations in New Zealand. Once a month we donate the fees from one class and split them equally across the groups we list.
Movement is the work we do in the room. The Community page is the other half of that: keeping the circle going for people who are living with, or caring through, the same things that made this studio feel necessary.
